Enchanted Rocks & Jewelry is located in the Texas Hill Country about 70 miles West of Austin on State Hwy. 16. We are now open at the historic Llano Uplift Rock Shop. The Rock Shop has been in Llano since the mid 60's and was operated by the Hazlewood family through the late 90's. After years of being closed, we had the opportunity to reopen this famous shop under the management of Frank Rowell & Patricia Felts. Our goal is to preserve the family friendly atmosphere and Customer service this shop has been known for. We have added many new items to the store since reopening. Our line of sterling silver jewelry includes a large selection of rings, pendents, chains and beaded necklaces and earrings. There are T-shirts from the Mountain T Shirt Co. that are all made with natural dyes, (Over 50 styles to choose from). Rugs and blankets from El Paso Saddle Blanket Co. and lots of sterling silver jewelry to choose from. The jewelry is from all over the world. The stones include amber, garnet, amethyst, topaz, malichite, tiger eye, turquoise and many others to numerous to list. We are open Tuesday thru Saturday from 10am till 6pm.
The Llano County Courthouse at right was built in 1892. It still serves as the county court.
Sixth Annual Llano River Outdoor Exposition
Formerly known as The Gold & Gem Rendezvous
Llano will be the site for the
Sixth Annual Great State of Texas Gold Panning Championship and Volunteer Fire Dept. Gold Panning Challenge.
Relive an 1890’s gold rush on the Llano River, at Badu Park. Pan for gold in the river, compete for prizes, visit the club booths, shop in the vendor area, or just have fun. There will also be flint knappers making arrowheads, metal detector competition, gem and jewelry booths, Kayaking, fly fishing demo's and food, both Saturday and Sunday. Friday will be set up day and there will be an evening mixer with food and music for all participants. Period costumes are being encouraged.
There are spaces available for gem and mineral, jewelry, flint knapping and gold dealers. Knappers and panners who do not need table space are welcome without space rent. 12'x12' spaces for sales ONLY, are $25. Demonstrations with sales or display are $10 for all three days. Camping and RV spaces are also available. If you plan to demonstrate any craft, please let us know on the application form. Applications for both events are available at www.Llanoexpo.com.
